Studio Consulting with Conrad

Opening. Running. Teaching. Competing. Judging. Buying. Selling. Walking away. Starting over.

I've lived every side of the yoga studio business since 1999

— from the hot room to the owner's office.

Where are you in the process?

Starting. Stuck. Growing. Burned out. Buying. Selling. Figuring out what comes next.

Let's talk.

A family that's opened and run studios across three states -

I'm not speaking from theory

Ten years owning Bikram Yoga Nimitz in Honolulu.

A family that's opened and run studios across three (3) states.

And before all this, I graduated from Cal Poly with a B.A. through the college of Business.

Concentration: MIS

[Managing Information Systems]

Employer: IBM

[Global Consulting Services]

Location: Boulder, Colorado

My official title was IT Specialist 🦾

.... that's where I met Bikram.

it was 1999 and Bikram was my 1st teacher, 1st class. And I hear,

"Welcome to Bikram's Torture Chamber ..."

I thought I was back at football camp.

He was yelling and swearing and I could barely understand half of what he was saying.

I was hooked.

I remained in this IT consulting role for a few years before abandoning everything to start opening hot yoga studios with my family.

- By 2002 I had graduated Bikram's teacher training.

- By 2003 my father and I opened up Bikram Yoga Naperville.

- By 2003-2004 my sister acquired Bikram Yoga Honolulu, Kaimuki.

- By 2005 I had moved to Honolulu to start working wtih my sister.

- By 2006 I was wrapping up lease negotiations and starting the buildout in Honolulu.

- By 2007 I opened Bikram Yoga Nimitz.

There's more to the story, but that's a good start ...

(I had architectural plans to be the 1st solar powered Hot Yoga studio in Honolulu).

Who I talk with

Owners. Teachers. Operators. Buyers. Sellers.

People trying to open.

People trying to leave.

People trying to evolve without burning the whole thing down.

Where are you in the process?

Not a Package.

A Conversation.

No prefab consulting bundle.

Just a useful conversation about where you are, what you're dealing with, and what actually makes sense.

If I can help, I'll say so.

If I can't, or it's not the right fit, I'll say that too

— and I may know someone better suited.

Studio life is specific.

The advice should be too.
